Introduction

Pipa Ballad. Tour of China is a music ensemble centered on the pipa, a traditional Chinese instrument. The group is composed of instrumentalists from the prestigious China Conservatory of Music. Rooted in the profound heritage of Chinese traditional music, the ensemble’s style seamlessly integrates diverse multi-ethnic and regional elements, seeking to express a rich spectrum of emotions while resonating with the aesthetic sensibilities of global audiences. The ensemble has successfully staged concerts in numerous countries, including Luxembourg, Sweden, Australia, Argentina, and Chile.

The upcoming concert will showcase a curated repertoire ranging from adapted traditional works to vibrant, rhythmic contemporary works infused with modern folk elements. In addition to the exquisite timbre of the pipa, the audience will also experience the enchanting charm of a wide array of other traditional Chinese instruments.
