Introduction

The Pärnu Light Theatre Festival “ÖÖvalgel” is a visual theater festival. The program consists of performances where, in addition to the performers, modern visual technology serves as the main means of storytelling. The festival is one of the largest cultural events in Pärnu, attracting a significant number of visitors. It is transcultural and understandable regardless of the viewer’s nationality.

For the first time, the festival extends indoors. At St. Elizabeth’s Church, three unique performances will take place, combining light, lasers, projections, and music to create two concert experiences and one visual show designed for younger audiences. Each performance in St. Elizabeth’s Church will be presented once on each of the three festival days.

Every evening, in addition to the ticketed church performances, three free outdoor visual theatre shows will invite audiences on a walk through Pärnu’s city center.

We recommend spreading your cultural getaway over multiple days, allowing you to not only enjoy the festival but also explore the best cafes and restaurants Pärnu has to offer.
