Introduction
The concert at the Pärnu International Organ Festival takes the listener to distant soundscapes, where the exotic tonalities and rhythms of Armenian, Iranian, Jewish and Japanese composers meet with violin, organ, mystical singing bowls and gong. On the latter, Aivar Täpsi improvises on his set of 20 crystal bowls.
Different sounds resonate from gongs and bowls of various sizes, affecting the listener's energy centers and cleansing both the physical and emotional body.
Welcome to a journey to distant morning lands, without taking a single step!
PROGRAM: Armenian sharakans (hymns) from the 5th century, works by Achron, Bagdasaryan, and Bovet for violin and organ
